Sikkim government to adopt odd-even vehicle policy in GMC

GANGTOK, Sikkim: The Government of Sikkim has decided to adopt an odd-even traffic policy in the jurisdiction of Gangtok Municipal Corporation (GMC) from June 6.

This odd-even traffic policy will apply to all private vehicles registered in the state. However, two-wheelers, essential services such as ambulances and also private vehicles registered outside Sikkim and media vehicles are exempted from these odd-even traffic policy restrictions. These restrictions will be observed from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 in the morning to 3.00 PM. Vehicles with registration numbers ending with an odd number will be allowed on odd dates and vehicles with registration numbers ending with an even number on even dates of this month.
