MP govt to launch startup policy to promote innovative business ideas

INDORE: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Wednesday, January 26, that the state government is planning to soon launch a startup policy, along with venture funds to promote innovative business ideas. ”If we want to turn India into a 5,000-billion-dollar economy, then we will have to encourage start-ups. Therefore, we have decided that we will soon present the state’s new start-up policy,” CM Chouhan said, while interacting with ‘Start in Indore’ conclave participants.

CM Chouhan said that capital is the basic requirement of any enterprise and therefore, the government will consider providing guarantees to banks for granting loans to startups.

The state government is also thinking of organising global investors meet for startups, CM Chouhan added. He added that he has decided to spare one hour every month to have dialogue with startup entrepreneurs to resolve the problems they are facing.

He also expressed hope of turning Indore into a startup capital of the country.
