Jharkhand gets another Biodiversity Park

JAMSHEDPUR: Jharkhand gets another biodiversity park in the industrial city of Jamshedpur – Kadma Biodiversity Park. Developed by Tata Steel management on the ruins of its old quarters for employees, it is spread over 13 acres of land where 5,650 trees have already been planted and several clusters of native species of trees planted as groves. The park has been developed with 4,650 types of shrubs on a 1600 square meter grass area. 

Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Tata Steel mentioned how the park has been developed in less than 15 months and they have plans to continue in different parts of the city. Several initiatives like the development of CRM Bara ponds, Dalma View pond, Golmuri pond, Jugsala Muck dump, and ISWP ponds have been taken in recent years.
