NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started free coronavirus testing facilities at various metro stations in view of a steady rise in the number of coronavirus cases in New Delhi. The stations having the facility include Nehru Place, Inderlok, ITO, Chandni Chowk, and Netaji Subhash Place. The testing facilities at the stations will remain open between 10 AM and 3 PM every day and will include both rapid antigen and RT-PCR tests.

Rapid antigen tests will be conducted by a staff of five including a lab technician and four civil defence volunteers. The result of the tests will be sent to individuals through emails or text messages. A spokesperson from DMRC said that this initiative had officially kicked off in November but only few stations like Chandni Chowk had testing counters initially.
