CM Gehlot to provide 100 days’ employment scheme in urban areas

JAIPUR: The Government of Rajasthan is planning to launch an ambitious scheme titled ‘Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Scheme’, which aims to provide 100 days of employment to needy families in urban areas.

The scheme is supposed to undertake projects regarding environment protection, water conservation, heritage conservation, maintenance of gardens, cleanliness, and sanitation. People in the age group of 18 to 60 are eligible for 100 days of employment. The state government has allotted a budget of Rs.800 crores for this scheme.

Registration for the scheme can be done at e-Mitra centers with Janaadhar card or its registration slip. The work permit will be executed through the committees at the state, district, or local bodies level.

The scheme is scheduled to launch in the presence of Shanti Dhariwa, Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Government of Rajasthan, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Minister for Food and civil supplies, Government of Rajasthan, Mahesh Joshi, Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Rajasthan and other dignitaries.
