The tax revenue of the corporation has also witnessed a significant spike, reaching ₹1,585.59 crore in 2023-24. A press note presented by the state government said that the use of technology and area-wise monitoring has contributed to this significant revenue increase. The department has introduced various portals, mobile applications and area-wise monitoring for revenue collection via GIS-based surveying techniques to streamline property tax collection and ease the bill payment process.

In addition to that, the department also opted for revenue-based schemes such as the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), which emphasises financial stability and water security. The scheme also entails improving property tax, user charges, urban planning, and strengthening local bodies.
