PM launches projects worth ₹48,100 crore ahead of LS polls

RAJKOT, Gujarat: The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, inaugurated projects worth ₹48,100 crore across the country from Rajkot city. The projects Inaugurated by the Prime Minister include five All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and a 2.3 km long cable-stayed bridge in Dwarka.

The newly inaugurated cable-stayed bridge, which connects Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka, is the longest such bridge in India. The 2.3 km long bridge has been built at the cost of ₹980 crore.

Apart from that, five AIIMS, one was inaugurated in Rajkot physically, while the remaining four AIILMS in Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), and Bathinda (Punjab) have been inaugurated virtually.

After inaugurating the projects, PM recalled his long history with the city where he first took oath as MLA 22 years ago. He said, “I have done my best to live up to the trust of the people of Rajkot. I can see that generations have changed but affection for Modi is beyond any age limit.”
