Nagaland joins to beat plastic pollution

KOHIMA, Nagaland: La Ganesan, the Governor of Nagaland, participated in the World Environment Day, themed "Solution to Plastic Pollution" at the Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan in Kohima. The Governor noted that the world is using more plastic than it can recycle and that plastic output is outpacing global demand. "Most of the plastic ends up in our environment, causing hazardous effects to humans, animals, and nature," he claimed. The governor advised people to use less plastic in their daily lives while urging everyone to recycle and repurpose plastic garbage. He said, “The most important is to educate oneself and people around us about the harmful effects of plastic and to collectively eradicate plastic pollution.”
