MSMEs to provide a new digital frame for Indian economy

NEW DELHI: Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, while speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit 2021, and called out for partnership among countries with a common goal of achieving sustainable growth. With India as one of the active partners in finding collective solutions to global issues, it should further leverage global partnerships.

Piyush Goyal while at the inaugural session proclaimed that India has emerged as a global partner for the world. Further, India will leverage global partnerships for collective solutions to address global issues. Goyal further said that the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India, is also pacing fast towards becoming trillion-dollar digital economy as the country is already on its path to embrace digitisation. Going further with the discussion, India’s business sector is also picking up speed in the adoption of technology including 5G and artificial intelligence and the country is set to achieve manufacturing excellence as its economic performance has been robust.

Moreover, calling India as a trusted partner, Goyal also mentioned that the country being at peak of the pandemic, still managed to meet all its international service commitments despite lockdown. India has to engage with its citizens and communities and also with other countries in order to achieve its goal.
