HYDERABAD, Telangana: In Hyderabad, a campaign titled light-up bicycle campaign has been launched by the Green Pencil Foundation. Under this campaign, the foundation will work on climate change, menstrual health and slum education in various suburbs.

The Green Pencil Foundation in collaboration with Greenpeace India organised the campaign in 100+ cities which aims to promote sustainable mobility in India. The campaign aims to expand the existing network of the Green Pencil Foundation. With their LED-decorated bicycles, youngsters joined the campaign to spread the message of a sustainable lifestyle and a lot more.

Trisha Panjala, while speaking about the campaign, said, “We chose bicycles to spread the message that bicycle usage for travel less than 10 km is easy and must be used instead of motorised vehicles responsible for pollution,” says Trisha Panjala. “This will not only help fight climate change but also help the youth keep up with their expenses as a lot of money will be saved.”

The campaign also aims to work in the field of mental health. As per the National Mental Health Survey 2016, nearly 14 per cent of India’s population needs active mental health intervention.
