Haryana CM approves several developmental projects worth ₹2,574.4 cr

CHANDIGARH, Haryana: The Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khatar, approved several development projects in Gurgaon and allotted an annual budget of ₹2,574.4 crore to the Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).

CHANDIGARH, Haryana: The Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar, approved several development projects in Gurgaon and allotted an annual budget of ₹2,574.4 crore to the Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).

The annual budget approved by Khattar for the fiscal year of 2023-24 includes ₹300 crore for the Sheetla Mata temple health services project and ₹125 crore for a 20-50 kilometer master water supply line to meet the city’s water demand. 

Khattar also approved the transfer of land required for the proposed new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in Sector 107 near Daulatabad and Sector 78 near Naurangpur. For STP in Sector 107, 49.93 acres of land will be transferred to the Municipal Corporation Gurugram, and 3.75 acres of land from Municipal Corporation Manesar will be transferred to GMDA for the 40 MLD capacity STP in Sector 78.

Furthermore, administrative approval of ₹109.14 crore was granted for the underpass being constructed at Vatika Chowk, connecting the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) from Faridabad Road to NH-48. This underpass project is collaboration between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and GMDA on a 50-50 cost-sharing basis.
