Filling gaps in health access

E-Sanjeevani, a pioneering, indigenous telemedicine platform started in November 2019, is revolutionising healthcare delivery across India. This cost-effective, cloud-based application is designed to bridge the gap between patients and doctors, enabling remote consultations from the comfort of home without any charge.

Two Verticals of the scheme:—

Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs) Programme

  • Assisted teleconsultations to bridge the rural-urban digital health divide.
  • Ensures that e-beneficiaries can avail of the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
  • Hub-and-Spoke model: AB-HWCs are set up at the state level, acting as spokes, mapped with the hub (comprising MBBS/specialty/super-specialty doctors) at the zonal level.

ESanjeevani OPD

  • Leverages technology, enabling doctor consultations to be accessible from the patient’s residence regardless of location.
  • Trained and onboarded 2,22,026 specialists, doctors, and health workers.

As of January 17, 2023

  • The system has integrated 1,12,553 HWCs in rural areas alongside 15,465 hubs situated in tertiary hospitals and medical colleges.
