NEW DELHI: The Central Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Nepal on biodiversity conservation. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, took the initiative to enhance cooperation and coordination between both the countries to conserve the vast array of flora and fauna across borders.
The approved proposal aims to promote partnership in the field of forests, wildlife, environment, biodiversity conservation, and climate change. It also includes restoration of corridors and interlinking areas and sharing of knowledge and best practices between the two countries.
