LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Government has informed through the press note that the state government has built around 351 ‘nagar vatika’ in 14 cities/districts in the state. The government will also create ‘Nandan Van’ as part of the ‘Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan-2023’.
The Nandan Van or Nagar Van will have various facilities such as space for yoga, trekking, photography, bird watching and forest bathing. It would provide an escape for the people in the lap of nature without going away to distant areas, read the government statement.
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath will launch the campaign with an aim to inaugurate around 35 crore trees in the state in 2023, this Saturday. The list of 14 districts, home to 351 Nagar Vatika spread over 722 hectares of area, include Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur Dehat, Firozabad, Auraiya, Hardoi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Nagar, Hathras, Moradabad, Raebareli, Etawah, Amroha and Varanasi.
