NEW DELHI: The Smart Cities Council India organized its seventh Smart Urbanation event in Mumbai on August 26. The event recognized various smart city projects that have shown highly innovative strategies, ideas, and projects to make cities of the country more livable, sustainable, and economically viable.
The event embraced the presence of all the stakeholders of the smart cities mission – from policymakers, and municipal authorities to Urban Local Bodies and technology and service providers.
The awards were given under different categories namely smart solid waste management, urban sustainability, safety and security, and smart water, among others.
