AMARAVATI: The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, June 15, announced that all children will be provided free-of-cost medical care in government-run hospitals in the state. The decision was taken during a meeting held in Amaravati on Tuesday regarding the prevention of the possible third wave of COVID-19.
According to the official statement from the state government, special arrangements are made to provide training to the medical staff in paediatric-related issues. The meeting was headed by Deputy Chief Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas and was attended by various ministers and Group of Ministers (GoM), Andhra Pradesh.
The official statement said that all the public health centres should be checked and proper arrangements should be made to provide free of cost treatment to the children. The decision was also taken to recruit the doctors and other medical staff to treat the children.
