THANESAR, Haryana: Subhash Sudha, Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies and Thanesar MLA, informed that the Government of Haryana has approved a fund of ₹26 crore to carry out 160 developmental projects in Thanesar.
Of the total allocated amount, ₹20 crore has been earmarked for the Thanesar Municipal Council. This budget will be spent on constructing the rainwater drainage system, sewerage system, drains, and roads in the territorial jurisdiction of the Thanesar Municipal Council. The rainwater drainage system is a major respite for the residents of Sectors 13 and 7 in the city.
Additionally, the government has also approved the construction of several roads and link roads that are in dilapidated condition, causing discomfort to commuters. The information also includes that the road connecting Power Grid Chowk to Shri Krishna Ayurvedic University Chowk will be doubled in width. This will help reduce traffic congestion and accidents on the road. The government has granted ₹2.5 crore for this road.
Similarly, the road connecting Krishna Ayurvedic University Chowk to the Circuit House will also be doubled at the cost of ₹60 lakh. Another proposal to construct 15 main roads in the city at the cost of ₹17 crore has been sent forward for administrative approval.
