Market strategies for women entrepreneurs to create market opportunities across various marketing and showcasing platforms.
The EU-funded ‘Girl Power Project’ operates extensively across Jharkhand’s 10 districts and 20 Blocks, initiating transformative changes in the lives of over 5,000 women and their households. This initiative isn’t just about empowering women—it’s reshaping how women do business in the region. By providing training, marketing help, and advocacy, the project is empowering a new generation of women entrepreneurs dedicated to making a difference. The symbiotic relationship between the Girl Power Project and strategic marketing connections plays a pivotal role in instigating a profound socioeconomic transformation within the targeted regions.
Having successfully equipped women with the essential tools, the project has now entered an exciting phase where women are actively crafting products. The Girl Power team is on a mission to explore diverse marketing platforms, unlocking opportunities for showcasing and promoting these empowering creations.
The latest milestone for the project occurred on December 21, 2023, when four Self-Help Group (SHG) clusters, comprising 15-20 women each, achieved empanelment at KUSUM emporium, JASCOLAMF. This development signifies a significant leap for these enterprising women, providing them with a crucial avenue to showcase and sell their products. These SHG groups, nurtured through the Girl Power project, are now set to reap the benefits of their hard work and newfound skills. The empanelment at KUSUM emporium opens doors to a broader market and increased visibility, offering these women a chance to break free from traditional constraints.
Scope and merits of facilitating Women Entrepreneurs into Market Networks
In summary, the strategic marketing connections established by the Project serve as a conduit for socio-economic transformation. Through expanded market access, income diversification, skill amplification, community resilience, gender equality, and cultural heritage preservation.
The project is committed to leveraging a comprehensive approach towards success, aiming for outcomes that extend beyond economic empowerment and community upliftment. In addition to the penetration of established markets, the project is dedicated to harnessing the potential of various other marketing platforms such as JHARCRAFT, FPOs, PALASH Mart, and more. This strategic utilisation of diverse marketing avenues will not only amplify the reach of women entrepreneurs but also contribute to the project’s overarching goal of creating sustainable business growth.
