Dubai’s Happiness VehicleSmart Services at Doorstep

The Dubai government has launched several initiatives to promote happiness and well-being among its citizens. One such initiative by the Dubai municipality, under the Ministry of State for Happiness and Well-being is the ‘Happiness Vehicle Initiative’. Launched in 2023, this initiative assists senior citizens and People of Determination (a term used in UAE for Persons with Disability) in applying for smart electronic services provided by the municipality.

To avail this service, senior citizens and People of Determination can book a vehicle by specifying the required service and their location. An employee from the municipality will then visit their residence to help them complete the service. This initiative enables them to swiftly and conveniently conduct their transactions in line with the municipality’s efforts to develop integrated services that exceed customers’ expectations and meet their requirements.

The Happiness Vehicle programme offers several services, including:

  • Submission of request for a copy of approved engineering drawings
  • Issuance of ‘To Whom It May Concern’ certificates
  • Issuance or renewal of the land map, pest control services
  • Requests for agricultural pest control
  • Bulky waste transportation.
