NEW DELHI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for several states across India, including Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
A heatwave alert has also been issued in West Bengal, which is expected to witness soaring temperatures from the third week of April.
Furthermore, multiple districts in Kerala, including Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Thiruvananthapuram have also been issued a yellow alert. The districts of Kerala like Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Kasargod are expected to witness high temperatures this week.
The IMD has predicted a respite from the smoldering heat this week for Delhi and other NCR cities, with pleasant weather expected in most areas.
