Bengaluru metro pillars to get vertical gardens

BENGALURU: Jayanagar Metro pillars between National College and RV Road stations will soon get vertical gardens.

Bengaluru metro rail corporation limited took an initiative to utilize space, a total of 161 pillars will be used for advertising purpose while remaining 34 will get converted into vertical gardens. It will make the surrounding clean, green and attractive. BMRCL on Wednesday invited firms to advertise on pillars and also to develop and maintain vertical garden along the stretch.

BMRCL officials said vertical gardens on the pillars will develop the city’s brand value.
