JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday, February 24, assured that every family will get an insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh under the Universal Healthcare Scheme. He added that people who are covered under Ayushman Bharat Mahatama Gandhi Rajasthan Swasthya Bima Yojana can avail the benefits of this scheme for free, including contract workers, small and marginal farmers.
CM Gehlot, in his speech during the Budget session 2021, said that the state government will also introduce a ‘Right to Health’ bill which will provide preventive and curative cure to the people. It will also implement ‘Universal Health Coverage’ in the state to provide healthcare facilities to 5 crore families.
CM Gehlot also announced a ‘Special COVID-19 Package’ where Rs 2,000 each will be provided to 33 lakh families and also an interest-free loan up to Rs 50,000. Rs 50 crore of funds will be provided to entrepreneurs under Mukhyamantri Laghu Udyog Protsahan Yojna.
