PM to inaugurate All India Mayors’ Conference

VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be virtually inaugurating the All India Mayors’ Conference on December 17. The Department of Urban Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh is hosting a conference in Varanasi on the theme of “New Urban India.” According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the central government has initiated a number of projects and initiatives to address the problems of deteriorating urban infrastructure and a shortage of amenities.

An exhibition is also being organised at the All India Mayors’ Conference from December 17-19. It will highlight the Government of India’s and Uttar Pradesh’s major achievements in the field of urban development.
