ITANAGAR, Arunachal Pradesh: In the closing ceremony of Arunachal Yuva Samanvay, a 4-day event that began on May 6, Chief Minister (CM) of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu stressed the importance of the concept of Pan Arunachal for the overall growth and prosperity of the state.
Arunachal Yuva Samanvay was the first of its kind event organised by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, at Jairampur in Changlang district. The event aimed to provide a platform for youth from different tribes and ethnicity to come together and interact, which would give them a sense of belonging and foster unity among them. CM Pema Khandu and Mama Natung, Minister of Youth Affairs, Arunachal Pradesh, were present on this occasion.
In the event, CM Khandu asked the youth to discard drugs and help the state in its efforts to counter the menace of drug cartels in the state while simultaneously making efforts to protect forests and wildlife. The state should come first, followed by the tribe and the individual self. Arunachal Pradesh is a congregation of many tribes and ethnicity where only an inclusive concept of pan Arunachal could lead to growth and prosperity.
Under the Chief Minister’s Talent Hunt Programme, the state government is sponsoring four events annually, Arunachal Got Talent, Arunachal Idol, Miss Arunachal and Mr Arunachal, to provide opportunities and resources to the unique talent that is present in the youth.
