THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Kerala: In a meeting with the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, officials from the World Bank assured to make investments in the state’s basic infrastructure sectors.
A statement was issued from the CM’s office stating that the assurance was given after Pinarayi met Anna Bjerde, Managing Director (Operations), World Bank, in Washington DC, while discussing the progress of various projects, including the ‘Rebuild Kerala’ initiative that is being carried out in collaboration with the World Bank.
The statement further added that a high-level team from the organisation visited Kerala to review the development and policy programmes that are being implemented as a part of the Rebuild Kerala initiative.
The meeting was attended by V P Joy, Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala; K N Balagopal, Minister of Finance, Government of Kerala; and V K Ramachandran, Vice Chairman, Planning Board, Government of Kerala.
