NEW DELHI: Suman Goyal, Additional Commissioner of Delhi Police (Traffic) has announced that one of Delhi’s heavily congested roads, Vivekanand Marg, which connects traffic to Africa Avenue, will now be a one-way road. The decision was taken by the authorities due to “obstruction caused due to heavy flow of traffic” which resulted in “inconvenience to the road users”. The order, which was passed on Tuesday, November 26, will be brought to instant effect and the new rule would be enforced immediately. The concerned road authorities would be erecting signboards indicating the traffic restriction on the route. This decision will result in the rerouting of traffic flow to Africa Avenue to the Ring Road.
