NEW DELHI: Vedanta Limited on Tuesday, December 14, proclaimed that it is committed to decarbonise its Aluminum business operations in the long term. Vedanta Aluminum has set a target of achieving 24 per cent reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, as per Sustainable Development Report for Fiscal Year 2020-21.
“We are committed to the process of decarbonising of our operations in the long run as Aluminum producers, we are not kneeling down in our pursuit of excellence in all spheres of business, including environment, social, and governance,” said Rahul Sharma, CEO-Aluminum Business, Vedanta Limited. The sustainable development report goes by the title ‘Nature, Nurture, Future,’ and this encapsulates the business’ performance across key sustainability parameters. This report outlines around Vedanta Aluminum’s approach to sustainable and responsible development aligned to United Nations Global Compact Principles.
