LUCKNOW, Uttar Pradesh: As per the news report, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is planning to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, which will take place in Davos, Switzerland, in the month of January in 2023.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting will take place in Davos, between January 16 and 20. It brings together government leaders from around the world, businesses and civil society to address the state of business and the world and discusses the agenda for the rest of the year.
Invest UP, erstwhile Udyog Bandhu, a dedicated organisation of the Government of Uttar Pradesh to promote and facilitate investment in the state, has been asked to take care of the arrangement of the trip, with the help of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). Apart from CII, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has also been engaged in this. This visit by UP CM would be significant for UP as the state government has set the target of creating a one trillion-dollar economy by the end of 2027, and the CM is looking to invite investors from around the world. Deputy Chief Ministers, senior cabinet ministers and other state officials will also visit 19 cities spread across 17 countries from December 9 – 19.
