NEW DELHI: Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDCIL), India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Renewable Energy Development (IREDA) under which it promised to provide technical-financial aid in developing renewable energy projects.
In turn, IREDA will provide assistance to THDCIL in improvising an action plan to create new renewable energy projects for the upcoming five years, a statement said. Moreover, IREDA promised to extend techno-commercial expertise to THDCIL as well. This pact will aid THDCIL to augment its footprints in the renewable energy sphere, which already has a portfolio of solar and wind energy projects besides thermal and hydro. This is the sixth MoU signed by IREDA within a span of one year for expanding their consultancy services for developers of renewable energy.
