Survey finds 555 buildings unsafe in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: A survey conducted by the Gurugram Municipal Corporation (GMC) has found 555 buildings within its jurisdiction to be unauthorized and unsafe. According to the survey, these buildings neither have any approved plan nor any structural audit report. Fire NOCs were also found to be missing. The survey was carried out after Chintel Paradiso roof collapse incident.

Mukesh Ahuja, Municipal Commissioner, GMC has ordered action against the violators. He said that any building that is unauthorized or does not have an approved building plan and lacks mandatory safety certificate is unsafe. He informed that the violators have been served with notices.
