SOLAN: A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to look into the building collapse on the Kumarhatti-Nahan road which claimed the lives of 13 army men and 1 civilian. The team is headed by Parwanoo Yogesh Rolta, DSP, Himachal Pradesh Police, and the probe has already begun. The team has extracted three samples of concrete from the building debris- from the beam, roof and plinth area. The samples have been deposited to a forensic science lab at Junga for quality inspection.
The team is also looking into the revenue records of the building to determine the ownership. The low quality of the building material was first discovered by the NDRF staff who executed the rescue operation.
