SHIMLA, Himachal Pradesh: The Shimla Municipal Corporation has launched a drive to restore public buildings damaged in recent spells of heavy rains. The corporation will also resolve the power supply issue caused by damaged power lines.
The corporation has framed a special team to handle the calamities and resolve any complaints regarding the rain-caused damages. Locals have been reporting that heavy rain has damaged the road in the area where a wall collapsed earlier.
Till now, the rain has damaged over 70 roads, after which they were closed. The power supply was also disrupted as the 84 electricity supply lines were damaged. Also, 51 water supply schemes have been disrupted.
