Sambit Patra appointed as the new Chairman of ITDC

NEW DELHI: Sambit Patra was appointed Chairperson of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) on Wednesday, December 1. The appointment was carried out by the Appointments Committee of the Government of India. Moreover, the committee approved the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism to split the post of Chairman and Managing Director of ITDC into two different posts, that is, Chairman, ITDC and Managing Director, ITDC.

ITDC is a driving force in the country’s progressive development, promotion, and expansion of tourism. GKV Rao, an IAS officer, has been named Managing Director of the ITDC.
