Rs 1.6k crore approved for Amrut 2.0 in UP

LUCKNOW: The Department of Urban Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, approved a budget of Rs 1647.5 crore for works under the Amrut 2.0 scheme. In a meeting chaired by Amrit Abhijat, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, fund was approved to start work on 18 crucial projects in the state. 12 of the projects are related to water supply, and six are related to sewerage supply.

Officials have decided on taking up the projects in Banda, Orai, Shamli, and Unnao in the first phase. They also said that the money will be used to strengthen and upgrading the sewerage network and water supply infrastructure across the state’s four key cities (Aligarh, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow) and 11 other towns.
