BHOPAL, Madhya Pradesh: Re Sustainability Limited (ReSL), a Hyderabad-based waste management firm, has announced its plan to install its regional Integrated Solid Waste Management facility, which could generate 6MW energy, at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The waste-to-energy facility will require an investment of ₹220 crore.

The company informed that the new waste management plant will be able to segregate, process, and manage 600 metric tonnes of waste daily. It will be able to cater to the needs of the nearly 2.5 lakh households in 28 urban local bodies of Satna, Rewa, and Sidhi districts. There are 12 civic bodies each in Satna and Rewa, while there are four ULBs in Sidhi.

The project is being implemented on the Build, Own, Operate (BOO) model in partnership with the Rewa Nagar Palika Nigam, which is the nodal civic body in the project. The government is providing a grant of ₹87 crore for this.

The project includes waste management processes such as door-to-door waste collection, transportation, processing, and disposal using RDF, composting recycling, and landfill operations.
