RANCHI, Jharkhand: The Urban Development Department, Government of Jharkhand has begun work on ensuring piped drinking water for 1.6 lakh households across 15 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state with an investment of ₹1,447 crore.
The department held a pre-bid meeting with the private players before rolling out the tender. “The funds would be given by the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Centre’s Amrit Yojana Phase –II,” the department stated, adding that the project would be implemented by the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation.
