GANDHINAGAR, Gujarat: The Rajkot Municipal Corporation of Gujarat, has placed an order to buy additional 100 e-buses from PMI Electro Mobility.
PMI Electro Mobility, which received the order for additional 100 e-buses, has previously delivered 50 e-buses to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation.
The recent order for 100 e-buses was floated by the civic body in February 2021, under which PMI Electro Mobility has received the order to provide, maintain and operate 100 e-buses for the corporation.
The newly ordered buses will be equipped with several advance features such as CCTV cameras, Real Time Monitoring System (RTMS), air suspension and several other safety features as per the statement of the company. The company claims that to be the only original equipment manufacturing unit which could provide standard, mid and mini buses in India. The company also claims that 600 of its e-buses are plying on the roads of 20 cities in the country.
Manvi Jain, Head of Corporate Affairs, PMI Electro Mobility said, “PMI has already been running 25 electric buses in Rajkot since 2021, and will soon add another 25 buses, to complete the existing order by this month. The latest tender to supply an additional 100 buses is a testimony to our expertise in manufacturing and operating high-quality electric buses.”
