NEW DELHI: Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, has released directions to prohibit the sale of firecrackers and fireworks with the intention of protecting the health of the public and those affected by the deadly coronavirus. The instructions were issued by Gehlot on Sunday, October 1, during a meeting. Gehlot also ordered the officials to take strict actions against the vehicles that are not fit and emanate smoke.
Gehlot also directed the officials to guarantee a prohibition on temporary licences issued to sell fireworks. He added that the use of firecrackers in marriages and functions should not be allowed. He further requested the people to turn off vehicle engines while stopping at traffic signals.
