CHANDIGARH: Captain Amarinder Singh Gill, Chief Minister of Punjab, on Saturday, November 21, said that the state is ready to provide all possible help to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) to combat COVID-19. He said that as the state is fighting a tough battle, it is our responsibility to help them in the time of need.
Captain Gill lauded the flawless work done by the frontline healthcare workers of Punjab in fighting COVID-19 and said that the state is ready in case a second wave of the pandemic was to hit the state. Singh said that while no one knew when the second wave would hit the state of Punjab, experience from other states, particularly cities in the National Capital Region, showed that it is inevitable.
He added that the in case the second wave hits the state, the state health department will again rise to the occasion and perform beyond expectations. He also exorted the people to actively help the state in the fight against the pandemic by following all safety norms.
