DHARAMSHALA: Suresh Bhardwaj, Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Town Planning, Government of Himachal Pradesh said that projects worth Rs 567 crores were being implemented under the Smart City Project in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
At a review meeting of the Smart City Project, Bhardwaj said that 17 projects of Rs 116 crores have already been completed including root zone treatment plant, roof top solar plant, street construction, underground dustbins, e-municipality facility, GIS web portal, integrated housing project, housing for the shelter-less, DC campus parking, drinking water improvement project, development of Bhagsunag area, upgradation of city roads, LED street lighting and City Convention and Skill Development Centre, Tapovan. 27 projects of Rs 165 crores are underway, while tenders have been invited for the pending projects.
Dharamshala is an important tourist destination of India and the ongoing developments under the Smart City Project hope to increase its allure.
