GANDHINAGAR, Gujarat: Kanubhai Desai, Minister for Finance, Government of Gujarat, revealed that the state government will soon be granting the status of municipal corporation to Porbandar-Chhaya and Nadiad municipalities.
Earlier in the budget speech, the minister also announced the state government’s plan to grant the status of municipal corporation to seven municipalities— Morbi, Vapi, Navsari, Gandhidham, Anand, Mahesana, and Surendranagar-Wadhvan. With this, nine new municipal corporations will come into existence in Gujarat.
