NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Sustainable Summit 2021 on February 10 via video conferencing. The theme of the summit this year is ‘Redefining our common future: Safe and secure environment for all’.
Important delegates who will participate in the event include Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President, Cooperative Republic of Guyana; James Marape, Prime Minister, Government of Papua New Guinea; Mohamed Nasheed, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Republic of Maldives; and Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Government of India. The twentieth edition of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) flagship event, the World Sustainable Development Summit, will be held online between February 10 and February 12.
The event will bring together numerous governments, business leaders, academicians, climate scientists, youth and civil societies in their fight against climate change. Ministry of Forest, Environment and Climate Change and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, are key partners of the event.
