MUMBAI: The impact of cleaning of beaches has started to be seen after the initiative taken by the Savvy Institutions and the common people. With the cleaning of the beach, where hundreds of garbage were being removed at the end of the week by the beaches, there is also a stroll along the middle of the people due to sanitation. After about a year’s cleaning, Dadar beach has also improved considerably.
Before the cleaning of the beach, where wastes on the coast, especially plastic was found, now reduced. Not only does the beauty of the beach increase, but it is also easy to stroll to the people who come here.
Chino Quattro, chief of ‘Beach Warrier’ cleaning the coast, said that he has been cleaning Dadar Beach with the help of school students and common people for the past 49 weeks. Meanwhile, garbage has been taken out around 300 tons from here. Quattro said that after rains, there is considerable amount of garbage on the shores, although at this time Dadar’s position is quite right. From this, the small creatures living in water on the shores are also being seen.
