JAMMU: The first phase of Jammu Kashmir Panchayat polls 2018 will held on November 17th from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm in 26 blocks of Kashmir division and 21 blocks of Jammu division.
The nine-phase panchayat election will conclude on December 11, 2018. The panchayat polls were last held in 2011.
A senior official of the state election commission said “In this phase, the polling will be held on 536 panchayat halqas and 4,048 panch wards, deciding the fate of 6,378 candidates comprising 427 for the posts of sarpanch and 5,951 for panch.”
