Panaji bags national award for reforms

Panaji: Under the centre’s flagship smart city mission, Panaji was titled with a national award for undertaking urban municipal reforms. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri presented Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd with the national award of the two-day national workshop organized at Lucknow.

Panaji has also received a grant of 90 lakh that can be used for the development in the city. Imaging Panaji CEO, Swayandipta Pal Chaudhuri, said: “Panaji scored well for implementing reforms such as establishing urban development authorities, publication of annual financial reports online and for creating one public park or open space every year,”.
