Odisha organises orientation for climate resilient urban development

BHUBANESWAR, Odisha: In order to develop urban infrastructure that is climate resilient, the Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha, on Wednesday, organised an orientation session for the urban engineers of civic organisations in the State.

More than 320 engineers who work for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) have received training on various technical aspects and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for taking on projects under the State government’s transformative urban programmes.

G Mathi Vathanan, Secretary, Housing and Urban Development requested that when working on development projects for the ongoing Jaga Mission, Mukhyamantri Karma Tatapara Abhiyan Yojana (MUKTA), Water Supply, and sanitation programmes, officials concentrate on building climate resilient infrastructures.
