BHUBANESWAR, Odisha: The Government of Odisha tabled the first supplementary budget of ₹16,800 crore for the year 2022-23 in the state assembly.
Out of the allotted supplementary provision, ₹9,200 crore has been given for programme expenditure, ₹4,934 crore for administrative expenditure, ₹2,610.46 crore for disaster management fund and ₹173 crore for the maintenance of schools and primary health care centres by the gram panchayats.
The government has also allocated ₹200 crore for assistance to the farmers affected by crop loss last year during the Kharif season.
For the energy, information technology (IT), commerce, transport and R&D sectors, a total of ₹388 crore has been allocated.
The official sources stated that the allocations in the different sectors will help in boosting the economic growth and carry forward developmental and welfare programs.
