Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha, on Tuesday, February 9, sanctioned eight investment projects valued at Rs 1,242 crore in several sectors like metal, electronic system designing, logistics and tourism, which will create 3,135 employment opportunities.
The state-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) headed by Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Chief Secretary, that clears individual projects within Rs 1,000 crore, gave permission to these eight projects.
According to an official statement, SLSWCA gave authority to one integrated heavy beach sands project by Indian Rare Earths Limited and the Industrial Development Corporation Of Odisha Limited at Krushnaprasad in Puri with a financial help of Rs 460 crore. It will generate employment opportunities for more than 800 people.
Manufacturing units for solar panels, advanced storage batteries, electronics products like United Serial Bus (USB) data cable and High-Definition Multimedia Interface cable will also be established at Info Valley near the city by Surya International with an investment of Rs 67.50 crore.
