HYDERABAD: K Chandrasekhar, Chief Minister, Telangana on July 19, told in Assembly that every household in Telangana will have new door number with QR code and the number system in doors would be installed in municipalities after the municipal elections. The project was earlier implemented in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits and all the municipalities will follow the same system.
This new system of numbering the households will help government to preserve the data of that particular property and also ascertain its value from time to time in the open market. The new system will also be useful in official’s purposes of government and the owners/tenants of resident. The Chief Minister mentioned that they will bought self-certification to make sure there will be no delay in the building permissions.
However, the property owner would attract huge penalty if they found having false self-certification. If the property owner will submit a false self-certificate, they would be fined a penalty 25 times the property value. If the property tax is Rs 10,000 and if the self-certification is false, he would have to pay Rs 2.5 lakh as penalty, said the Chief Minister. Flying squad will be there to check the authenticity of the details given in applications.
Chief Minister said that this was a citizen friendly urban policy. The registration for property will be completely online. If the any property found to be illegally constructed, then that property would be demolished without giving any notice.
