Noida to get infrastructural boost worth Rs 1500 crore

NOIDA: Noida Authority said that it will dedicate infrastructure projects worth Rs 1500 crore to the people of Noida in 2019-20 as per Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s directions to put citizens first.

The upcoming projects include multi-level parking facilities, healthcare, sports complexes, parks and more.

Rajeev Tyagi, General Manager, Noida Authority said, “The focus is to decongest the city with five parking facilities, which are multi-level and underground”.

“The parking facilities will be located across the entire city and will have the capacity of 10,000 vehicles at once. The facilities will cost around Rs 800 crores. Other infrastructural projects are near completion including a 240-bed district hospital in Sector 39, which will be completed by October, 2019 at a cost of Rs 346 crore. 

“A city bus terminal in sector 82, which is spread about 10 acres has been 75 per cent completed. It is being developed at a cost of Rs 140 crore. The facilities like ATMs, pharmacy, vending machines will also be there within the premises.” he stated. There will also be a multi-purpose stadium at sector 21 which will be costing around Rs 103 crore. And for the leisure activities of the citizens, Noida Authority will deliver a bio-diversity and martyrs’ park next year. Both projects will come at a cost of Rs 70 crore, officials said.
